Disk Defragmenter

I started up Disk Defragmenter this morning and noticed the screen that shows the different color coded hard drive sectors was not there. All it says is "Defragmenting hard disk C". It does not even give a percentage done nor is there any apparent option for bringing up that nice screen.

The pathway I used to get there was Programs/Accessories/System Tools/Disk Defragmenter

Has the screen been eliminated from Vista 64? If not, how do I bring it up?

I do have a large hard drive with lots of data stored on it and it would actually be helpful to know how long its going to take to defrag my drive.

The geek side of me liked looking at the various uses of the disk sectors and how far along the drive was defragmented. I used to watch it move files around for a few minutes until I got bored with it.

The Defrag tool built into Vista runs automatically and does a fair job. But, when you run it manually, it takes FOREVER to defrag a drive. And the graphical display you mention isn't part of the Vista/Win7 defragger. I prefer Auslogics defragmenter for Manual defragging.

Agreed, the new version of Auslogics defragmenter is excellent.
