Context Menu Expands Out Left, Instead of Right

How do I change my context menu expanding right instead of left?

This is what it looks like:
(see attachment)

I would like it to expand the other way.

Windows has been doing that for years...It just depends on your starting point....

You could prbably change the view to LIST and get it to change...

No, its not just those sets of particular menus, it is any drop down menu. It will popup and and expand on the left side of the cursor instead of expanding to the right like normal. It was a setting that I specifically changed for it on accident and closed the menu and now cannot find the option to expand out right again.

I have attached another menu instance of the menu expanding in the opposite direction that I want it to.

It looks normal to me...Looks like you have more screen space on thhe left...Windows sees that and goes left....You could lower your resolution and maybe get it to shift right.

That last shot is only a crop of the screen shot I took, that menu behavior is not a windows default. The default is to expand a drop down menu to the right. Here is another screen shot depicting the menu expanded left (not the way I want it).

(See Attachment)

As you can see the expand menu rollover icon even points right, not left.

So with that being said, does anyone know the setting to select which way the menu expands from the drop down menus?

I am pretty sure it is essentially a single click, such as a select left or right handed drop down menus.

Sounds like your tablet PC settings are screwed. Go to Control Panel > Tablet PC Settings. Change your settings as Left Handed. If it is at Left handed .. set it to right handed .. click Apply .. then change it back to left handed and click Apply again.

HTH

I think that this just opened up a new can of worms entirely.

I have been trying to get my Wacom Tabet to work the last few days and have not been successful.

Right now I have no Tablet PC Setting in the Control Panel. (see attachment)

The Wacom Tablet Properties in the Control Panel are completely non responsive to double clicks. I now believe that this is because my tablet device services are disabled or uninstalled.

Can anyone confirm this theory, or instruct me how to reinstall the tablet services on Windows 7?

I dont have Win7 .. but am guessing its the same worms as Vista .. so try going to START > RUN > services.msc .. check to see if Tablet PC Input Service is running .. If not .. try starting it and seeing if it works for you. Also make sure that it's set to automatic so that it runs at startup. Hopefully your dependencies are running as well ..

Did you reconfigure your startup services as part of any optimization?

Alright, I went into my services.msc and found that the Tablet PC service was set to Automatic, as well as the Wacom Tablet service set below it.

Just for an additional bit of information I have tried installing the drivers from Wacom to help recognize the tablet and they did not solve the problem either. My tablet has an indication light on it showing when the pen has come in contact with the tablet surface. Alla a blue LED switches to green. It is doing that when I touch the pen to the surface but still will not moving the cursor. The shortcut buttons on the tablet although are not responding and creating a right click command to be executed. The tablet is ia Intuous3.

I have in the past been through the msconfig.exe and services and disabled items during the last few months to optimize my start up time and background processing power.

Good news, I just went back into the services and changed the Tablet PC services to Automatic. Restarted one again and that did the job.

So the tablet left hand and right hand option was the trick I switched it back to Left hand and the menus appear on their "correct" side once again.

Now if we can just get my tablet working?

Any suggestions folks?

If http://forum.wacom.eu/viewtopic.php?...f68e3&start=10 is to be believed .. the new version of the driver is buggy and you need to use an older version. Use their forums to search for the appropriate version and install.
