Windows 7 problem installing

i try to install windows 7 and when i get to the "where do you want to install windows" then it shows me...Disk 0 unallocated space and then i press next and it seems like its loading something and then on the bottom it says "windows is unable to install to the selected location: Error 0x80300024...does anyone know why this is happening ?

Do you have more than one hard drive currently installed? Disconnect all drives except the HDD you want to install on and the optical with the install disc and try again.

well i have the reg c drive them i have the burner which is a different drive..but how do i disconnect it? do i have to open up the pc

Is this a newly built PC or are you reinstalling on an old machine? What's the history and specs of your PC.

its not a new pc what happened was i had win 7 and i did an update on my graphics card and it stopped working and kept taking me to start up repair but that wasnt working so i tried to put in win xp that didnt work and neither does win 7

Is this a purchased Windows 7 installation disc or did you burn and ISO from somewhere? There are reports that burning the installer at the fastest speed can cause these errors. A solution for that is to reburn the ISO at a slower speed.
