Windows 7 print jobs stuck
I have two Windows 7 machines networked as a family group. A HP LaserJet 1020 is connected to one computer (which has no trouble printing) and is shared with the second computer (wired router). Current drivers have been installed on both machines.
The second machines sees the printer and can send jobs to the printer. However, the print jobs just sit in the print spool and never print. I can't force the jobs to print or clear the print spool from the second machine. If I go to Control Panel-Administrative Tools-Services-Print Spool, right click and restart (from the first computer), I can force the job to print. I've seen plenty of references to this problem, but no permanent solutions. Any ideas?
