outlook 2003 asking for pass word

Today when I turned on my desktop running Vista Home Pre, Outlook 2003 asked for a network pass word, I thought this was strange but I put it in and it didn't work but if I look at the email account and click the "Test Account settings" button it works fine only when I click the send and receive button it don't work? I system restored it to yesterday the 6th and it works but why did it mess up to begin with?

Course the password it wanted was the one you setup with your ISP. Every time you check for new mail or send mail it has to login in....Putting in the correct password probably would have fixed it.
