Try doing a restore, not the f11 system restore.

What is the exact error message? What version of windows?
Are you able to boot into windows?

I am using Vista Service Pack 1. I am unable to download Service Pack 2. Under the errors, I have an error 8007371C. It mentions that file spclite.exe is corrupt. Run checkdisk utility and it also referenced a file \window\system32\IME. When I start the computer, it automatically runs checkdisk. If you need the exact message, I can try to get it again, let me know.

How are you trying to install the service pack? Through windows update, or with a stand-alone exe file?
Also, take a look here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/w.../cc507882.aspx It looks like the error might be coming up if you installed a non-final version of SP1 Last edited by Force Flow; 02-09-2010 at 05:13 PM. |
