help w/ reinstalling Vista on dual boot machine
Hello - I am going to reinstall Vista HP 64 on a computer that has 2 hard drives with vista on 1 and XP Pro on the other.
I do have Acronis TI 9 on the Vista drive and I have an image of Vista that I would like to put on that drive. Do I ? 1. Wipe the drive and install Vista fresh from the original CD and then copy the image from the external hard drive. 2.Install the image from within Vista. I'm not really sure how this dual boot will function when I do this so any help would be appreciated.

I'm no expert but, I've never herd of installing an OS while currently in another OS. What would copying the image do when you have already reinstalled the OS for part 1?

Could I just unhook the XP drive?
I would rather not reinstall XP because there is nothing wrong with it. So could I just unplug the XP hard drive and plug it back in after I reinstall Vista ? (keep in mind that Vista & XP each have their own separate drive).
