I hope I can do this.........

I bought windows 7 OEM on a system I built, and I thought I ordered the 64 bit version. I go, install it, and when I get my drivers, it tells me they won't work on a 32 bit system. I'm like what?? So I look at the package, yep 32 bit. Surely who I bought it from made a mistake, look at my invoice, nope 32 bit. I messed up. So can I sell this to my brother that just built a system this week also? And replace mine with the 64 bit version? This one has already been activated.

You may have to make a phone call since the activation was so recent. But you should be allowed to run that copy on your brother's pc as long as you replace it on yours.

During install, I told it to activate, well, lucky me, it hadn't done it yet. I looked up in the properties of Computer, and it said 2 days left til activation. So I activated it on my brother's computer, and reinstalled XP on this, until my 64bit one gets here, yay!
