a good resolution... dual boot is a constant perpetual problem. i thought I'd get a 1Tb Hd and put everything i can recover from the 3 HD's last crashes on it.. then get a back up system and use my 2 500Gb HD's as back ups..
my wife got a nifty back up system for the computer i made her Raidmax Aura Pink case GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P Intel e5700 CPU OCZ Reaper HPC 4GB DDR2 1066 Visiontek ATI Radeon HD 3870 512Mb FOC Western Digital 600Gb HD it's a Clickfree unit, it was recommended to her because it was easy to use.. i found this, I'll have 3 500Gb HD's if i get the 1Tb HD http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-050-_-Product If i don't like the software that comes with the dock i can get this.... i like the click free system http://www.amazon.com/Clickfree-Auto...6714465&sr=1-1 i like the idea of a Back-Up system where the HD only runs when you back up. my raid HD failed, then both dual boots crashed later a couple of times. I'm tired of messing with it. i want to simplify as much as possible. So.... is the Windows 7 64bit a system to consider, or will i have compatibility problems with games and my Vista64 hardware.. things i have backed up on my 2 other systems i have 8Gs of Ram. i need to run Dragon Voice system and i do some engineering cad stuff occasionally. i play FPS multi player , i have Bad Company2 on Pre-Order. I'll be joining a clan on that.. if i can set up an operating system that will work consistently.

Hi
I started running Windows 7 RC 64 bit on my old computer, the only problem I had was drivers for my Epson scanner. Everything else that ran in XP ran in Windows 7. I'm Running Windows 7 HP 64 bit on my new computer and having no problems at all. As for back up I have two 500 gig external USB hard drives with only run when I'm using them. I have two 1tb drives in my computer and back up both of them to the externals drives using Norton Ghost 15. You have to have version 15 to work with Windows 7. My data disk is backed up to both external drives, my software disk to only one of them. Both drives can easily be restored using a boot CD if the whole thing goes down. I have years worth of job files, photos, music, and software so I have to be sure everything is backed up. Windows 7 is the best OS that Microsoft has ever had and you will need 64 bit to use your 8 gigs of ram. One of my hard drives is a Maxtor the other is a LeCie and both have worked fine.
