splat Vista unexpected shut down

Hello, running vista 64 bit here.
I checked the screen saver the power options to never go to sleep, shut down etc.
The pc will shut down after 15-20 mints of not using it. Could be some in the system core?
Also, the system won't go to sleep in the High performance/power plan. The display is but not the HD.
suggestions please.
Mk.

First list what type of computer it is. Is it a branded type or home built. If home build list all specs included type and wattage of psu.. If branded list model number...

If you're using it, does it still shut down after 15-20 minutes?

If I remember correctly, there should be different profiles for battery and always pluggged in. Did you set the never go to sleep and never turn off option for plugged in?

On the control panel/power options I did put it never go to sleep and still was shutting. I left it couple of days and it hasn't shut down again, weird, but when Its in high performance it doesn't put the HD to sleep it shuts the monitor but not the HD.
suggestions please.
