Win7 update wrong ...

Just a heads up.
This morning Win7 informed me I have no video drivers installed (Radeon 5770).
I do, it's wrong.

If you get a similar message I recommend you ignore it.
At some point Microsoft will release a patch.

The latest updates were installed today on my Win 7 machine with Radeon 5770 video card but I didn't receive any messages regarding missing video drivers. I'm running Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit, what version did you see the message?

All my games run but the PC Issues flag is red x'd and it says :

Install your video drivers
I have the latest version 10.4 installed and it's running with no problem.

I"m betting that by later today that notice will be gone.

I always wait a few weeks before installing updates..

Couple years I ago I let the updates install a VIA IDE Controller...OH no...reboot no workee....

Short version - the same IDE controller was offered to all of my pc's none except the first was even close to a match.

I blasted off a half a dozen emails to any address I could find and the driver was removed in a pretty short period of time.

Hmmm.

I got a message last night saying I needed to upgrade my video drivers.
I didn't trust it so I stopped it, I'll do it manually today.
I'm paranoid about these things.

Paranoid is good (At least for this.).

Do any of your games need/would be improved by a driver update?

Hi

I don't really.
Everything on my computer runs fine.

I have a Radeon 5870 video card and it runs everything maxed out with the drivers I have.
But I usually do update when ever the manufacturer comes out with new drivers.

Basic question : Do you need the update (Check the Read Me!).

If you've got the latest graphic's card/games, you need to keep up with drivers.
If you don't, wait around and see what's happening.
