Windows Classic Start Menu!

Hi

If anyone is interested here is a app that restores the classic start menu in Windows 7.
I'm using it right now and I like it.

I find it much easier to find what I want when the screen shows all your installed programs at the same time instead of scrolling up and down constantly.

So far is seems to work great and also allows you to use something that resembles the classic Windows Explorer. This retains most or all of the useful features of Win 7 Explorer but the folders don't keep jumping up and down the screen when you select them. For me a big improvement.

You can turn it on and off when you want to.

I just installed it, and love it. That's the 'ticket' I set mine for smoked glass.

HI

With Windows 8 about to drop, I just want to add that it works great in Windows 8 as well. There is a new version now designed for Windows 8 that really makes it easy to change to the new OS.

It gives you your start orb back and boots Windows to the desktop.
It also give you more options as to how you want the interface to appear.

It makes the OS feel familiar with out removing any of the advantages of the new system.

Here is another one to change how W8 looks. Works very slick but not free, $4.99.

Have it installed on one of my machine's. But, is there anyway to get the simple games you could play in Win 7 in Win 8? You know, the standard solitaire, hearts, etc.

I want to put the icons in a folder on my desktop using Windows Shell.

Try these two pages for info on Tiles, making new tiles and adding apps to the tiles.

Rearranging tiles on Start

Adding applications, websites and more to Start
