These are my favorite Windows 7 add-ons!
Hi Everyone!
I just thought that after using Windows 7 for a year I would post a list of the apps that I have found to really improve the way that Windows 7 works for me. The first is a little program that adds the command "Take Ownership" to the right click drop-down. This has saved me some hassles when Windows decided that I wasn't responsible enough to access certain folders on my computer. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials...-shortcut.html Next is Rocket Dock, a extra task bar that lets my organize my links and free up space on my task bar. I hate having stuff all over my desktop and this app is really cool. http://rocketdock.com/ This is a big one, Classic Shell restores the Start Menu and folder behavior in Window Explorer to the way it was in Window XP. I find this to be a big improvement from my point of view. http://classicshell.sourceforge.net/ The last one is very handy if like me, you are a graphic designer or work with type a lot. This is very simple, it just shows you a sample of all the type installed on you computer it only takes 96k of disk space. You can type in anything you want at the top and it will show you how it looks in every type face you have. A great way to pick a font for a new Logo. http://download.cnet.com/FontViewOK/...-10807693.html That's it: of the things that I have tried this are the ones that I have kept using. Mike |
