Windows Genuine Validation... Possible Virus?

Hey everyone,

I'm not quite sure if this window that keeps popping up is legitimately from Microsoft or not. Basically it says I need to validate my copy of windows (see the attached picture for more). This is extremely annoying because I DO have a legitimate copy of Windows 7 Home Premium... Anyways it keeps popping up and I click the link and all that does is basically say I have to buy a copy of Windows. This is why I think it might be spyware/virus as credit card numbers come into the picture...

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone else had seen this before or knows how to make it stop. Thanks!

Call MS tomorrow, I had that same problem with Win7, but only to find out my copy I purchased the key was a MSDN key, which was not suppose to be sold.. So I uninstalled it and put back of vista.. You can try to have it reactivated first before calling MS.

How do I reactivate it? And what's an MSDN number?

Microsoft Developer Network. Those are licenses for people in the business and are not to be resold. He bought a license on Ebay and that's what it turned out to be.

Go to start>Computer> when the windows pops-up, click on the system properties tap, at the top. Then scroll down, and you should see a message that says, something like get activated or you only have X amount of time to get genuine..
