Windows Server 2008 Role (Explain)
Can someone explain to me what are "Roles' in Windows Server 2008?

Roles are exactly what the name implies--what role is the server going to perform? Will it be a web server, FTP server, domain controller, mail server, file server, print server, etc.? Or perhaps a combination?
The setup wizard lists each potential role and if you choose to install a specific role on the server, it will install the necessary files and services to get started, and offer a bare-bones basic configuration.
