Bootable Win7 x64 disk from ISO
Good morning. I have made quite a few bootable disks from 32 bit ISOs with no problems. But when I tried to make one for Win7 x64, I am failing in a big way. After completing the burning process, I try the disk which won't boot but get a run .exe option instead. I have always used CDBurner which works very well. Any ideas?

Hi
I did this recently using "ImageBurn" with no problem. You might give that a try. It's free. I'm running Windows 7 HP 64bit. http://imgburn.en.softonic.com/ Mike Last edited by MikeMoss; 06-08-2010 at 09:12 AM. |

Mike,
That did the trick! Thank you. It drove me nuts considering I have been using CdBurner for quite awhile with zero problems. But it looks like I'll be switching to ImgBurn from now on. |

ImgBurn is best used for handling ISOs. CDBurner is best used for handling data. I actually make use of both.
