BSOD: Normal and Safe mode
Hey everyone,
I just got my sisters computer as it will not start at all. Everytime after the Vista loading screen I encounter a BSOD. I attached a log of the Memory.DMP from WIndows debugger. Can anyone take a look at it and let me know what you think? So far what I've tried: Memtest Chckdsk sfc scannow Swapping Memory Dimms Resetting CMOS System Restore Vista Startup Fix The computer will run fine if I load it up through UBCD4 windows. So I don't think it's hardware related..... |

Hi
Do you have an operating system install disk. At this point I would try booting from it and running a repair install. I would expect that this would fix the problem. Mike Last edited by MikeMoss; 07-03-2010 at 11:43 AM. |

HI
Well I have not used Vista myself. I went from XP directly to Windows 7, but if it works the same as they do you boot from the Windows DVD and you will be presented with a menu that lets you chose to over write the installation with out formating the drive or losing your settings. Check out this link. http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/88...all-vista.html Mike Last edited by MikeMoss; 07-04-2010 at 02:33 PM. |
