I never knew you could do this!!!

Hi

I have used computers for years, I started out in Window 3.1 and Dos.
But I just found out something that I never knew that is very handy.

I just found out that if you are browsing online and you want to see something larger, or smaller, all you have to do is hold down the left Ctrl key and move the mouse wheel back and forth. It gives you infinite size adjustments.

I'm using Chrome right now and I just zoomed in on the box I'm typing in.
Before this I always clicked on options and selected bigger or smaller if I wanted to change the screen size.

The post I found this in was about Widows XP but it works the same in Windows 7.

Hope this helps out someone else, who was as unaware as I was.
This is very handy if you are as old as I am and don't see that tiny type all that well.

Mike

Doesn't matter what the operating system is - this is browser-dependent. It looks like all modern browsers do this now.

ha I thought everyone knew this....I use it to set the text size bigger so I dont have to squint...just make life easier...once you do it you find you make everything bigger and easier to read...

I like the addition of firefox that when you hover over a picture thumbnail it makes it bigger...thats nice too
