Windows Taskbar Reguses to Auto-Hide
I'm running 64-bit Windows7, and usually the taskbar behaves and auto-hides. But occasionally it just gets stuck in the SHOW position for no particular reason. When it does this, how can I make it go away?

This doesn't really answer your question, but I use a utility called Taskbar Eliminator. http://www.windows7download.com/win7.../uygcwwmv.html
I just have a link to it, on my taskbar. When I don't want the taskbar to pop up in a program I'm working in every time I get the cursor near the bottom of the screen, I just click on it and it makes the task bar stay hidden until I hit "Alt T". Not sure this really solves your problem but I find it very handy since I have software that has things to click on at the bottom of the screen and the task bar keeps popping up and getting in the way. One of the things I would like to see put back into Windows is the option to have program windows stay in front of the task bar, as you could in XP. |
