Icon problem

Hi Gang

What happens is when ever I fresh start or reboot, the resolution changes. Not all the time but since I shut off my computer every night, it might do it once a week or when I have to reboot it during the day. I just turned off my computer a while ago and when I turned it on again the thing happened. No new programs, etc installed recently. This has been doing this off and on for some time now.

It comes on and I can see by the sign in the resolution has changed, and when I sign in and it goes to my desktop it will sit there for a few seconds the screen will blink, and go back to my normal resolution and of course my icons all all messed up, and I have to arrange them again.

I don't know if this is with my video card or what. I have Win 7 pre, and IE 8 Any suggestions as to what to start looking at first.?

Hi Gang

Do you mean to tell me 20 people can look at this post and not have an idea of where to start looking for this problem.? That is amazing. And out of 20 people no one ever having this same problem, or close to it. That is amazing again.

I am sure one of you so learned people here on this forum has had to be involved with a similar problem before. By not one of you even offering a idea of what the solution could be tells me you are either asleep, or you have not come across my post yet. So lets find this post of mine, and give me a little help here.
