Taskbar buttons use only the bottom line of Taskbar
In one of my user accounts, the Taskbar buttons will now use only the bottom line of the Taskbar, no matter how wide I make it.
Does not matter if the taskbar is locked or not. In another user account on the same computer, the taskbar operates normally. It uses all the taskbar space available and fills the taskbar from the top of the available space to the bottom as taskbar buttons are added. Am using Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack2 Have tried turning the computer on & off but the problem persists. Would appreciate any ideas on how to fix. Have attached a screen capture of the problem toolbar. |

When the taskbar ain't locked, have you tried dragging the separator bar towards the quick access buttons?

Found a partial fix by not displaying the quick access /quick launch buttons. With them gone the task buttons display completely. Think the separator bar is part of the problem: won't move as it does on the other account. Do you have any ideas about fixing that? Thanks in advance. |

That's puzzling. Have you tried removing all the quick access buttons and leaving only the ones Windows puts there by default?
