Need audio drivers for older board

My wifes motherboard is a an A8N32-SLI deluxe motherboard running Windows 7 64.

Her sound is not working. Windows Explorer shows there are no drivers installed. I told it to search for drivers, it found none. I tried loading in the drivers that came with the motherboard disk. Windows 7 says they are "not signed drivers" and refuses to let me load them.

I went to Asus's website and found some seemingly appropriate audio drivers but they do not work.

I went looking on the internet but only found pay-for sites that want to charge me to download from their library of drivers with no guarantee that what they have will work.

Any idea where I can get audio drivers that are compatible with this board that run under Windows 7 64?

If I cannot find any compatible drivers, would installing a sound card and using their audio drivers work with this board under Win 7?

Is the onboard sound enabled in the bios?

There are no Win 7 drivers for that motherboard. You are going to have to disable the onboard sound and install a sound card that's compatible with the OS if the Vista 64 drivers don't work.

Yes, the onboard sound is enabled.

Thanks, time for a new sound card.

I'm pretty sure there's a way to bypass/turn off the "not signed drivers" deal if you want to go searching for it. May or may not help.
