All accounts now limited in Vista Ultimate
To make a long story short, I set up my friends computer with three accounts, Admin(admin rights), hers(limited), and her kids(limited). Somehow, her children got ahold of the admin password and have made the admin account into a limited one. My question is, is there a "hidden" admin account in Vista you bring alive via command line to make the Admin account back into admin status? I am unable to do it via any of the accounts "active" now and really don't feel like wiping and reinstalling Vista....
Any help would be grand, thanks! |

Start > type "cmd" > right click on it and choose "Run as Administrator".
At the command promt, type: net user administrator /active:yes Reboot. You should see the administrator account. Once you're done, make sure you hide it again: net user administrator /active:no Then she can proceed to discipline the kids.
