New Windows7 Home Premium on Saltellite Toshiba L505D. Trying to help roomy setup laptop and messed up some how.
Short of it the hdd went bad within first yr. sent laptop to Toshiba, hdd was replaced and everything reset to factory state. I set up Admin and User Account even though laptop is a single user machine for added layer of protection since all roomy does is online. During initial Setup I created a PC Name in anticipation of the wireless setup, initial wireless setup failed, then i created Admin Account with PC Name as Admin User + Passwrd, then a User Account + Passwrd and wrote them all down. Forgot how to create Password Recovery Disk since laptop has no floppy When I tried to login as Admin again to setup wireless profile Login Failed with User Name or Password do not match. PC Name and Admin User Name are the same except if I look at the PC Name its appended with -PC I am wondering if this may be at the root of "User name or password don't Match" Regular User is works fine. I can't add another Admin Account or any other user to remove the or change the original Admin Account Psswrd.... Please where do I go from here??? MS support site is of no help because I can't get into the admin account Thank you

Have you checked capitalization and differences between characters like 0 and O and L and 1?
Beyond that, since we can't actually verify that what you're trying to do is a legitimate request, I'll have to refer you to forum rule #9 about bypassing password protection.

Hint:
Download and burn the Ultimate Boot CD. You will find the tool you need. It's the first one listed under Data Recovery. That's all I'm going to say, and I'm going to close the thread. |
