Question Dual Boot issues

Hello Guys,

I am glad to be back to my forum, it's been a while.
I have a dual boot window 7 & window Xp. Working great without a problem. I have decided to change the window xp boot name from " Earlier Version of Window" to "window XP Service Pack 3" using Easy BCD. The boot menu shows both windows. Window 7 works ok but window xp give a black screen when chosen to boot, but I can still boot in safe mode.
I have rechanged the boot name back to " Earlier Version of Window", I can't still boot, the screen remains black.
Any idea how to tackle this issue ?
Many Thanks.

Thierry

Hi THIERRY,

I also have a dual boot XP and W7.

Did you install XP after W7 or vis-a-vis?

Which version of BCD are you using?

The dual boot was working fine for almost one year until I changed the Window Xp boot name form "Earlier version of Window" to "window xp sp3". I have changed just the name using EasyBCD software, nothing more. I can boot to safe mode. I did restore point without success.

Thanks
