Help needed on Windows 7 Installation(RAID issue)

Hi All,

I searched the whole forum and could not get an answer. That is why this post.

I have 2 SATA hard disks on my system with Windows XP SP3 running without any issues. I added second SATA to install Windows 7.

Now I am trying to install using the "Custom install option" as I want to have dual boot with Windows XP and Windows 7. While installing Windows, during the setup, it asks which disk Windows 7 to be installed, when I select the Drive, it says it cannot install.

When I click for details, it asks for Ali RAID driver M5289. Next when I try to update driver after inserting the driver CD, it do not recognise the RAID driver.

After this I checked on the BIOS setting and confirmed that RAID is enabled.

Now I am struck and do not know what to do next.

Can any one kindly help me here??

Thanks in advance for your great help.

With regards,

Srinath

Are you are currently running a RAID setup? If so - which one? Raid 1 or 0?
