Windows 7 Event Viewer Newbs = Me

Hi all,

Thanks for reading my post. I was just given a Dell Latitude E6510 (Intel Core i5 CPU 2.53 GHz, 4 GB RAM) for my work computer. It has Win 7 for an OS (32-bit) and it recently started freezing up on me while on the internet. It will just lock up and the only way I can shut it down is to hold down the power button until it shuts off. Solving this problem is going to be a b*tch as I typically have multiple programs open when it occurs (Outlook, iTunes, Excel or Word, and a web browser). TrendMicro Security agent and Dropbox are also running in the background. I've done all of the following things without success: 1) switched browsers, 2) uninstalled Flash and Flash add-ins, 3) ran Windows 7 Memory Diagnostic tool, 4) turned off the bluetooth adapter on the laptop, 5)ran Win 7 diagnostics 6) ran windows update. I'm not too familiar with the Windows 7 event viewer and I'd like to learn more about how to use it. I've found the log, but I don't really know how to interpret it.

Thanks for any insight,

-Bronson
