Angry Fire Ok, so my netbook works, but explorer crashes

Ok, so I have a 6 month old Asus Eee Netbook and it works fine, except, everytime I want to open explorer it crashes and I have to ctrl+alt+del to force close explorer.exe. Being a netbook, I don't have a cd drive. System Restore was disabled out of the box. Firefox works fine and I can open files on my desktop. But, when I want to open a folder or use anything that opens explorer, crash and an eventual restart. Is there a way to download a fix? Asus support is kinda a pain in the butt. Any ideas?

What exact operating system came on the netbook? Do you have any files you need to save? Have you scanned it for malware and done a disk cleanup?

I'd back up your files to an external drive, then read the manual and find the instructions for doing a system recovery. It should have a recovery partition.

Have you disabled "Automatically Restart" under System Properties > Advanced > Startup and Recovery?

Does it give you an error code? If so, what is it?
