Unhappy Problem with Asus laptop

Hey guys!
I've been getting bsod's over the past couple days it was 2 error codes, one being 0x0000009c and 0x00000124. Now I've done some research on this and have come up with a range of things ranging from a bad processor to a simple little bug in windows 7. This started happening after I had uninstalled some asus crapware in the Asus utilities section (not all just some such as power4 dvd, startup manager, etc.). I can boot into safe mode, however I get the bsod's pretty randomly, but I have noticed a 100% success rate when I play youtube videos.

Also this is on an Asus N61JQ-x1 model purchased from newegg. It's about half a year old.

What I have done so far is...
- (after looking up the manufacter of the hdd) I downloaded the SeaTools for Windows utility and ran the Long Generic test as well as the Long Drive Self Test.

- Ran the mem test integrated with windows over night with no fails. (should I try memtest86+ instead?)

Anyone got suggestions?

Contact Asus support. That's what a warranty is for.

Utilities to re-download

It sounds like you inadvertently deleted something that was a bit more important than 'crapware'. Here's the link to the ASUS Support site to download the utilities that you removed. I'd download and install them one at a time until the system is stable again. LINK- ASUS SUPPORT

Or you could restore to factory settings, which is a pain....

Good luck!

When I put in the information for my laptop, all I got was a bunch of bios utilities and manuals basically. It seems they don't support the utilities/drivers for this laptop anymore.

Edit: Nevermind! I checked again and I guess they just decided to appear again... O.o
