I recently built up a new HDD on my wife's laptop. I went ahead an put Win7 on it and she really likes it over Vista. No real surprise. So, her desktop is currently running Vista and I am thinking about upgrading that machine.
I am concerned about the claims that it will only touch the OS and won't really wipe out the HDD per se. Has anyone is the forums performed a Win 7 update with success? If there were problems what were they? Thanks. |

It should upgrade successfully, but a clean install is ALWAYS better.

glc, I agree. I would rather do a fresh install however, I don't think I will be able to talk the wife into it. I will pursue it and see what happens.
I feel that separating all the data onto a second HDD will help me with this situation. |
