Cannot Install Office 2007 on W7 Home
I've just re-installed my Compaq notebook using it's recovery partition for Windows 7 Home Edition . It's faster, sleeker and more interesting but the problem is I'm not able to replace the Student edition of Office 2007 with an Enterprise Edition. It gives the following error:could not find any product to install, contact your system administrator:
What might that be? And how do I resolve it? |

Uninstalled you the Home & Student edition prior to trying to install the Enterprise one?

Yeah, I did that but it refuses to install the new version. Then I re-installed the OS once more and tried to put Office Enterprise. Same problem

Is the Enterprise Edition an upgrade and if so - is the Student version installed so it can be upgraded?

Is the H&S Edition the 60-day trial that comes bundled with the machine? Note that trial versions can't be upgraded.

Yes it's the trial version. But I'm not even trying to an upgrade. I just want to install the Ent Edition, and it gives problems even when I uninstall the Student version

Yes I'm doing a full install. I copied the folder to my external HDD and connected it to the USB port of my notebook. Does that present any issues?

Why can't you just install from the CD?

Does it load and then not install or does it not load at all?
Are you getting any sort of messages? If so, what.

When I launch the installer and it is about to load, it gives the following message " Setup couldn't find any product to install. Contact your system Administrator". But I'm sure the setup works well, so I don't want to believe the problem is my cd.

Are you using a factory Microsoft CD or a burned CD? Will it work on a different computer?
