wake from sleep DLNA
Hey guys,
I'm trying to allow my Droid X android phone to wake my Windows 7 machine from sleep via DLNA so I can play media on either device. I can play media on either when I have Windows Media Player open on the computer, but when I don't, the phone says "trying to wake device" and then ultimately times out. Oddly, it can still browse and play files from the computer, but can only playback media on the phone, not the computer. I have "Allow Remote Control of my Player" and "Automatically allow devices to play my media" checked in Windows Media Player under "Streaming". In "Control Panel - Network and Internet - Media Sharing Options" my Droid X shows up under "All Networks" and not "Local". When you look at the device in the list, it says "This device can't access your media when your PC sleeps". Actually, every device on my network is listed that way, except the only other computer on my network running Windows 7. I was thinking this could be a setting disabled in my BIOS until I saw that the other Win 7 machine could wake it. What do you guys think? As always, any and all help is appreciated!

I enabled "Allow internet access to home media" and now "This device can't access your media when your PC sleeps" has disappeared, but I am still unable to "wake" the device when Windows Media Player is closed.
In my power options, I also have "Allow Wake Timers" enabled, although I'm pretty sure this doesn't count as a timed event. |

I am having the same problem. How do I configure it so that a DLNA device is able to wake my computer from the sleep state?
