Sony Vaio & Win7
Hello.
I've just upgraded my Sony Vaio VGN-AR71S to Win7 Pro. I had to do a new install on a new partition, because the laptop came with Vista Home Premium, so I couldn't upgrade. Unfortunately, the eject button, on the laptop no longer works, and I'm wondering what else won't work. I'm sure the screen resolution could be better also. The Sony website is next to hopeless as it doesn't support upgrade to Win 7 for this model. Vaio update unhelpfully says everything is fine, even though I know I need the latest Win7 service pack. Do I need drivers to get the eject button to work? How can I tell if I do have the latest drivers, etc? There are software updates on Sony site, but I don't want to go backwards and make things worse. Any advise much appreicated, Dazzer |
