Remove File Warnings
Everytime I open a file on my desktop I keep getting a windows warning to confirm to open or run this file, its really annoying as I never had this before on my other install. I have moved the UAC slider to the bottom but the message still shows? How can I remove it?
I have tried some google methods but nothing at all seems to work. |

What type of file are you trying to open?
What do you choose and what happens when you choose it? |

It is the standard Windows 7 box that pops up (UAC) that asks if I am sure I want to install this program, there is a tickbox that says at the bottom, ask me everytime. I untick it, but I think it refers to the individual file I am using.
I am trying to make it so this box never appears ever. I have UAC slider all the way down, but still appears. This is on exe files, when installing programs. |

UAC is there for a good reason. You may want to get used to it....or take your chances by turning it off. I leave mine on because I think the occasional annoyance is worth the extra security.

Hi
Try using an app called Take Ownership. Once you take ownership of the file or folder it should stop asking you every time you open it. Add "Take Ownership" to Explorer Right-Click Menu in Win 7 or Vista - How-To Geek Mike |

I wish UAC had a feature where once you approve of a specific application , it will never nag you again about that particular application.
