Troubleshooting BSOD Loop

For the past couple of days I have been dealing with a BSOD stop issue, Currently I am unable stop the system from restarting on an error so the system is caught in a loop. The loop occurs in Safe Mode as well as Normal Mode. I am only able to get pieces of error information. The one test I was able to run once was a memory error scan which came back with zero errors.

Error: IRQL_NOT_Less_Than_Equal

Stop Error: 0x00000001e

OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.256.1

BCCode: 1e
BC1: 0000000000
BC2: 0000000000
BC3: 0000000000
BC4: 0000000000

I have not made any hardware changes however, here are the two software changes. In my research it appears that these software changes may be a source of my problem.

1) I uninstalled ISObuster
2) Added a significant number of MP3 to my iTunes

I am not sure what my next step would be. I am unable to boot the system in any mode. I am not sure if any of the tools on UBCD would help me in my current situation so I could continue to gather data. Is there a tools boot CD & boot USB image that could be used in this situation.

Thank you.

EzyStvy, thanks.

Will I be able to run this software if I am unable to reliably boot into normal or safe mode?

Yes, not being able to get into windows has become quite the challenge.

I have exploring trying to use UBCD or Hiren's CD in order to do additional troubleshooting. If any errors are located maybe being able to repair them while in that environment.

Also, how can the software inform me that it cannot find a windows installed on the hard drive while I am in the Windows repair menu? I am confused about this.

Thank you.

This is a Windows 7 OS system

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 BIT
Audio / Video: On-board
Processor: AMD 2.3 GHz Athlon 64 X2 4400+
Ram: 2 GB

Additionally, have downloaded the Win 7 repair disc and run it without success.

It stops during the process of restoring files.
It halts when dealing with Evernote 3.5. I have tries multiple restore points with the same result.

Thank you.

Name brand machine or custom? Brand and model of system or motherboard? Brand and type of hard drive?

Mobo: MSI K9N6P6M2 – V2
Processor: AMD 2.3 Ghz Athon 64 x2 4400+
HDD: WD WD250AAJS
RAM: Rendition 2 Gb DDR2 PC2-6400 (400 Mhz)
Onboard Sound
Onboard Video
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

Also, just a quick update.

I ran Memtest v 3.8 and came up with 8000+ errors.
I am leaning towards that this is my failure.

Thoughts?

Thank you to the forum.

I changed the RAM and was still experiencing the same problems.

So, I dug out my power supply tester and it appears that my PSU may have been the cause the whole time. I do not getting any -5 v to the MoBo. Thankfully, I do believe that I have a spar PSU to put in.

I will continue to troubleshoot and report my findings.

Thanks to the forum for the help.

The system doesn't use -5 volts. That's left over from the old days of AT systems. If you got ram errors and still get them with different known good ram, you have a motherboard issue.

glc, I put in the new Ram and now with the new PSU and it is booting up. I decided that since I was unable to restore Win 7 on the original HDD that I would load Win 7 on a new one.

Is there an easy way to move my programs over to the new HDD? Something like a migration assistant?

Unfortunately, programs all have to be reinstalled. You can easily copy your data files over.

A quick update to close out this thread.

I replaced both the RAM and PSU. I put a spare HDD into the system and I am back up and running with a fresh Win 7 install.

I will be starting another thread in another sub-forum to help with moving program files off the old drive to the new drive.

Thank you again to everyone for your help.
