splat Slow, Freeze, Hang, Sluggish Vista PC and Laptop

I have a Toshiba Satellite Laptop and a Homemade P4 Intel MB PC. About a month ago, both of them started to slow, hang, freeze, IE not responding and/or turning like fadding withe screen and very sluggish. When typing something on my laptop, 5 sec later is when it start to appears. I installed Firefox in my laptop because I can't downloads videos from LL or YouTube. That was my major download but wasn't the cause. Updated Java.PC is still a bit faster than the laptop. I have System Suite 11 professional. no virus, malware or big programs. Only Bing for IE and Google for Firefox. Start-up is limited to what's necessary. HDD is 300 and 218 free space. Any idea? Thanks.

Are you experiencing lag when you type in your non-browser programs...like Word for example?

Yes, seems like you have a serious malware problem there. Time to scan for viruses and run Malwarebytes' Antimalware, preferably in safe mode.

Thanks both of you. Dave. No lag.
Nuclear Krusader. That means that my utilities is not protecting my machines as they claim. I'll be doing the scanning tomorrow.

i have been working on some dead Laptops.. seems about the time they passed the Warenty date they all died.. 'they started slowing down' and finally Blue screened.. some got lines across the screens first..

most of them were just dusty inside.. dust, skin cells..etc.cut down the air circulation, they overheated and De-Balled themselves. ..the solder on the video chip contacts melted and bridged, shorting out the chip. there are some DIY fixes that might work for a few months, but the Solder gets Currupted.

this may not be your problem, but they do need regular cleaning.

i have Kaspersky AV, Malwarebytes, Advanced System Care, Spybot, Registery Booster.. i run them all the time.

I use the Suite 11 because they come with enough stuff to have your Machine running. I do, at least 3 full scans a week, clean history, cache, cookies, temp files. Once or twice I defrag and fix registry. I heard that IE 8 or 9 does not work ok with Vista. System is fast for few days and become sluggish again. David M, What's the difference? passn_thru2, I buy my laptop(06) and within 2 years, monitor was gone. Now, I use a monitor connected to my laptop. Will try some of the suggested programs But like I said before, all of these started to worsened about a month ago. Thanks.
