Software running on Win 7 question
Not certain if this is the correct place to post this so mods please move if necessary.... I plan to upgrade from Win XP pro 32 bit to Win 7 64 bit. Microsoft does not list Photoshop CS2 as compatible but it does list CS4. I have CS2 with an upgrade version of CS4. Does anyone know it I can load CS2, upgrade to the CS4 and have 64 bit compatibility?

What you could do is install Windows 7 Professional and then install XP Mode.

Thanks glc I will read up on that. I had this answer on the Adobe forum. I was unaware that software upgrade disks, or Adobe Photoshop CS4 in this case, were actually full copies of the software but with access controlled by serial numbers. Quite a surprise to me.
"Cs2 will run on either system, but if you have cs4, you can take advantage of possible increased performance of a 64 bit system. cs4 can use more ram on a 64 bit system than cs2 can. No need to install cs2, when installing the cs4 upgrade, you just need your cs2 serial #." |

Not to be a troll or anything, but I'm amazed that you're still using CS2. Start using CS4 right now! And take advantage of PS 64-bit. It runs without problems in Windows 7 64-bit.
