Restoring Windows 7 - without CD
Hello,
I recently purchased a gateway laptop from the bay. It didn't come with any restore discs. It does have the original product key code on the case bottom. The log on password is unknown. Is there any way of resetting or restoring the laptop back to "out of box" condition. Again, I'm not worried about losing any personal data from the previous owner. I tried ophcrack, the hash was not valid. Thanks! |

Not sure if this will work for the model you have but here's a link to how to activate the restore partition on select models. Link. Basically, you press the Alt-F10 key combo when the Gateway logo is displayed.
