A little off subject

Hi Gang

This might seem like a strange question for all you big brains on here, but I sure would like your ideas.

I go on Craigslist very often, buying, trading, etc. And yes I know there are a lot of flakes on there, and strange people, but I have been very fortunate in my dealings on there. I have meet some very nice people, and bought some great stuff from some very nice people.

No my question is this, for about the last 2 months or so I can not any replies back from any one. I mean none. Like I have been blocked from it. I have done all I can think of, checked my blocked e-mails, both with Yahoo and my Outlook e-mail, etc. I even dumped all my blocked things to make sure I did not over look any thing. My e-mail works great outside of this, I receive all my mail that I know of. Is there anything off the top of your heads that I might be missing here. I have notified CL about this and have not received any replies back from them, trying this at least 4 times. I am using Outlook 2010, and have been using this for a long time, and was getting my replies back from CL up to about 2 months ago. I have not received anything from CL about being blocked, I don't know if they can even do this. It just seems it was working one day and the next not.

Have you tried doing this from another computer other than your main rig?

I am using 2 computers but they both have about the same setups, so I tried my wife's computer and did get replies back. So that tells me my 2 computers have something blocking the replies. I have checked every thing I can think of, even going into my router. And like I said I have deleted all my blocked stuff with Yahoo and Outlook mail. I thought rather then looking for blocked things maybe looking at the allowing things. When I reply to some one on CL it goes auto to my Outlook mail, so I thought well I will send them from my Yahoo mail, same results no replies back.

I'd recommend you get another account, not Yahoo or ISP, just for CL. Get something like Gmail or Hotmail. I know your ISP uses Yahoo (I have the same one), and I've had quite a few issues with them lately too.

So you are thinking it is Yahoo.? I know they are lame in a lot of ways with their mail, like not allowing replies from PCmech. How about live mail, I have that already.

Now that brings up something, when I reply to a listing on CL, it auto opens my Outlook mail, do you happen to know if I can get Live mail to open instead of Outlook.?

That's because you've set up Outlook as your main E-mail client in Windows. You've got to go into Live Mail and set it as the default E-mail client. Unfortunately, I know not how to do that as I don't use Live Mail.

Ok I did the default mail thing now when I reply to a CL ad it goes to my Live mail. And I have tried it with a few ads, and I am now getting replies back from most all of them that I contacted. So some how my old address has been blocked.

I know this takes care of the problem but does anyone know where else I could be looking to find blocked addresses in Outlook and Yahoo, or the CL site.? I have looked at the normal places for this sort of thing. I just thought maybe you brains knew of some other places I could look.
