Windows Vista frozen installing updates
I've got a computer that has Windows Vista running on it, never had any issues before. It's set for automatic updates. It downloaded 5 updates, and when I tried to shut down the computer, it says please do not turn off computer while updates install, like it usually does. But it's been installing update 2 of 5 for the last hour. What would be the worst case scenario if I shut it down and restart it?

Sorry to jump in and out like that. Powered down and booted back up, nothing seems wrong. But. When it was frozen, it was on 2 of 5. When I go to the update history, it shows only 1 update installed that day. Got things set for auto update and doesn't show any needing to be installed. Not sure what happened to the other 4?
I'll check tonight to see if any more loaded. Thanks |

Get caught up by going to Windows Update manually. It's in the Tools menu in IE.
