Hey guys. the installation of IE 8 went pretty well unnoticed on most of our machines with windows update set to auto. But I noticed on my netbook as the stupid program now has background services that run all the time regardless of whether you use IE 8 or not. I can't end them either, says access is denied. I always use firefox and I'd like my 6% of RAM back that it uses. Oh, and it's still just as clunky and slow as ever.
Any ideas? btw windows 7 ultimate 32 bit on the netbook, and 64bit on everything else. |
