E-Mail Signature with image in Windows Live Mail

Rich Menga did a nice tutorial Video on 17th Feb 2010 which shows how to add an image file to signature on Windows Live Mail.

I followed the steps which were very clear but came to a hurdle when trying to set up the new Stationery Message. The latest WLM version does not have a Stationery Wizard, (which was part of the set up procedure), so I obviously could not set up a Custom Message.

I tried to get around this by copying an existing Stationery file and then trying to edit it using Notepad++ but this did not work, I simply got my message with the background of the original Stationery template.

It occurred to me whilst typing this that I should probably be able to edit to delete the jpg for the template, so I will try that but I just wondered if Rich had ever revised the procedure for the latest WLM version?

Thanks

I haven't updated yet for WLM version 2011 because at present there's no workaround for the lack of a Stationary editor concerning email signatures using images. If I do find a solution I'll post another video on the subject.

Found a way to get an image in a signature in WLM 2011. It's not pretty but it works. Will appear on the PCMech.com site tomorrow as a video tutorial. Check it out tomorrow morning.

Thanks Rich, I did try it and I am almost there but have a blank image box with a red x in the top left corner.

Got it thanks - where I had the stumbling block was - When I named the picture as homer.jpg (adding the .jpg into the name) it would not present in the E-Mail.

When I removed the .jpg from the name - it then presented in the E-Mail no problem.

So, good to go now - thanks again for this post - I have been trying to do this for ages.....appreciated Rich - Go PC Mech !!
