Linking user files to account name

Hi guys,

I accidentally deleted the wrong user account (my main account on win7) but did not delete any of the files. I deleted the account I was supposed to in the first place, and created a new account with my regular username.

Now, however, I have two users (dswissmiss, and dswissmiss-laptop) in C:Users with all my files under the accidentally deleted account.

Is there any way to get everything back the way it was? ie, one username in C:Users with all the files associated to it?

Let me know if I am being unclear.

Thank you!

It's unclear as to which is the deleted account and which is the new one... Have you considered copy and pasting the files to the new account?

Odds are you can't create a new account with the same name as the deleted one.. (now would be a good time to start a backup routine to bacup important files)

I learned something very valuable about 15 years ago when I was going through NT school - *NEVER* delete a user account, just disable it.
