Question Windows 7 Permissions

Daughters MB Crashed ---machine was running Vista...attempting to salvage her pics by installing her sata harddrive in my Win 7 Machine... heres the problem ... unable to change permissions & ownership for folders .. if I go down to the base JPG file I can change permissions & view Pic. there are hundreds of Pics. how can I change permissions for the entire drive or at minimum the entire pictures folder so I can save them all at once ?

I think if you right click the master pic's folder and select properties you will see a Security tab. At the bottom of the Security page is an Advanced button for setting the permissions on the parent and subfolders.

Question

I've accessed this & changed permissions to allow everyone access ---even did this from the admin accout ---I must be doing something wrong as I still cant access unless i change permissions on the individual file

This may work:

Add "Take Ownership" to Explorer Right-Click Menu in Win 7 or Vista - How-To Geek

Yeh, it's a pretty powerful little tool.
But I have to give credit to Mike Moss for finding it. He offered it up in another thread sometime ago. I keep a copy of the download on backup.
