Will Windows 7 only accept digitally signed drivers?

I'm gonna be trying to install Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit whenever it shows up at my door. I very briefly skimmed through a book on the operating system and I thought I read (I could have misinterpreted this) that the drivers you install on Windows 7 must be digitally signed.

True or false?

I dowloaded drivers for my printer, video card, and sound card. But the sound card driver is BETA. The final version has not been released yet.

So am I gonna run into a snafu here?

true

probably not, it will assign one. Everything will probably work out of the gate with no problems. You probably won't have to install anything.
