It's hidden differently.

In WinXP the temporary files were in "Documents and Settings\%user%\Local Settings\Temp" and IE's temp files in "Documents and Settings\%user%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files".

In Windows Vista/7 they're in:

"Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Temp" for the temporary files, and
"Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files" for IE's temp files.

Or you could use CCleaner to clean everything out for you.

I would but

to purchase CCleaner Piriform one cant use Discover for payment , the reason for Discover is security , Discover offers a secure online acct. # generator , its a one use generated acct # , secure and safe , Paypal wants my bank info to perform a credit card purchase , and with the paypal security issues thats not an option.

You don't need to purchase CCleaner. It's free (hence it packs some Google crap that you want to opt out of whilst installing). Their paid version is only if you need tech support from them.

Here, to make things easier:

If you click the big button, yeah: that's their marketing strategy. You've gotta follow the text links below that are meant to be obliterated into imperceptibility by the big, shiny Download button above.
