7 pro or home?
Hi people,
The thread tiltle says it all really. I have XP pro (sp3) on the desktop, and it does what I need it to. However, I need to buy a laptop due to changes to my working life. So, what please are the chief differences between 7 pro and 7 home? Most of the work on the lap will be internet, the usual Office apps and some CAD. Also I can see Skype becoming important due to different team members being in different places. Thanks, Chris |

The major difference is that Pro can access domains. If you need to log in to a network thru a domain server then you need Pro. If you only access Workgroup type networks then Home is fine.
