chkdsk /r problem
Hey guy and gals, I have a real problem here. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium, 64 bit OS, Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU, 4 GB's RAM. OS has been experiencing intermittment BSOD. So I decided to run a diskcheck. Everytime I run a diskcheck it stops at the fourth stage, which is the file data verification stage. I ran it several times, even let it sit there for an hour. No completion. Can anyone tell me how I can fix this problem? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading this.

Download and run diagnostics from the hard drive manufacturer.

chkdsk /r problem
Ran diagnostic tool incorporated in Windows 7, resulted in warning of impending hard drive failure. The hard drive was supplied with the Dell Compputer. I was informed that the computer is still under warranty. So, shouldn't it be returned to Dell? I don't want to mess with any hardware that might invalidate the warranty.

Call Dell - they will have you run their diagnostics while you are on the phone with them, then they will send you out a replacement drive, which will probably be preloaded.
