HP IQ526T Factory Image?

Someone with a Vista PC did a Windows backup of their entire system expecting to restore it back after reformatting the hard drive.

Now they are not able to do a successful restore from backup. They are especially concerned with getting back their MS Office 2007 or at least Word 2007 for school.

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to help them? Trying to see if I can help them find an image backup maybe on a hidden partition or?

The computer is now out of warranty but originally came with Microsoft Office 2007. Again the one she need for school.

Computer model is HP IQ526T

Thanks for any help folks.

Dave

Well hopefully they did not wipe the recovery partition. Here are the instructions.

Performing an HP System Recovery in Windows Vista HP TouchSmart IQ526t CTO Desktop PC - HP Customer Care (United States - English)

If that does not work, you will need to contact HP for a set of recovery discs.
