Windows Key

My Computer has just been formatted by a friend, and he has used a downloaded version of Windows 7 64 Ultimate OEM. Its all activated, but I am not 100% happy knowing MS Updates could screw my system up. I want a legit version, but the OEM disc costs about £150.

I spoke to a different friend about this, and he said to go on eBay and buy a genuine windows serial number for Windows 7 Ult 64bit. And to basically reinstall Windows 7 from this downloaded disc my mate gave me, and enter the genuine key bought off of eBay.

My question is this...Is this safe to do? Are these keys on eBay ok to buy? They say they are from Microsoft, and have never been used, not once, and also let you use windows update 100% without hiding any updates, it says your windows 7 will never be disabled as the key is 100% legit. Thats all good and well, but if the Windows 7 disc is downloaded on a DVD a genuine key wont make any difference and I can still get in trouble right?

I want to use Games For Windows Live as well, and I am terrified that MS will see a downloaded Windows 7 on my computer (even with a genuine eBay key) and disable my XBOX tag??

Please help.

The keys are selling on eBay for about £20

Eh? I am not discussing piracy, I am simply asking if these keys are safe or not

I was a bit harsh and I apologize. Ebay keys shouldn't be trusted. However, if you have a legitimate key, you can install from a downloaded iso no problem, and you are legal.
